Calculation – Data Retrieval – Program

Overview

PAPCRSQL.cbl is used by the Calculation to select and update data during the process.  All database interactions required by the main Periodic Process module (PAPCRCTL) are handled by this module.  This includes connecting to the database, loading the Run Control and Application Trace settings, resolving the requested population and group definitions, retrieving Periodic Process input data from HR, Benefits, and Pension tables, writing results, and updating process scheduler statuses.  This program is similar to PAPPRSQL used by Periodic Process.  This program includes non-standard error handling using display statements.
