Those two words were a shock. They mean Oracle provides bare minimum support for PSPA going forward.
To be clear they continue to support, improve, and update PeopleTools it’s just that those new tools (like Fluid responsive pages or Activity guides) are not being applied to PSPA.
When: After bringing enormous enhancement inventory and designs to Oracle, thinking naively that their creative juices just weren’t flowing lately.
1st Response – Add your ideas to our discussion portal, and if they can get as many votes as a new Payroll Portal feature, we’ll think about adding them to our roadmap.
2nd Response: Oracle says the reality is we’re not selling an new PSPA licenses. Maybe it’s because Oracle is not improving/keeping up the product? Well anyways, Oracle is not investing any further in PSPA. Hey, what about support revenue customers are paying? Insert evil laugh. Yeah, we are putting out a single pension resolution in each PUM update, checkmate.
Final Answer: PSPA is on a Sustaining Support status so don’t expect much from us. Did you know salespeople don’t even earn a commission selling PSPA? Oracle needs to focus on cloud, cloud, cloud.
Pivot: Begin Direct Customization and Enhancement Development Independent from Oracle
Like all great pivotal moments, this one was very freeing and motivating to me personally.
