Calculation – Main – Executable Program

Overview

PAPCRCTL.cbl is the main Calculation module.  It can be started through the Process Scheduler using the Request Calculation page, or by Remote Call using the Employee Self-Service Pension Estimate Page.  Based on the Calculation defined, and the plan implementation and other parameters, the program will perform the following tasks for the requested population as of the date provided:

• Import Employee Data (CAX00-LOAD-EXT-EMPL-DATA),
• Resolve Calculation Aliases, Beneficiary Data, QDRO Data, and Commencement Dates (CD000-SETUP-PLAN),
• Build necessary Actuarial Factor Commutation Tables (CD000-SETUP-PLAN),
• Determine Plan Eligibility and Plan Participation (MD000-CALC-FUNCTION-RESULT),
• Compute Service (MD000-CALC-FUNCTION-RESULT),
• Update Cash Balances [GE Annuity] and Employee Accounts (MD000-CALC-FUNCTION-RESULT), and
• Attempt to resolve all other Function Results in the Plan Implementation except Earnings, Hours, and Contribution Consolidations.

Process Section, Adjustments, Assumptions, and Overrides entered on the Define Calculation are applied to the applicable Function Results.

This process can generate application trace output.
When running a group, this process can be restarted after a failure or interruptions. The last EMPLID successfully processed is stored on the PA_CALC_RESTART record. (AC000-CHECK-RESTART)
