Periodic Process – Consolidated Earnings – Program

Overview

PAPPCERN.cbl is called during the Periodic Process to consolidate payroll earnings data from various sources and transactions into monthly or annual periods and stores the results as Consolidated Earnings. Depending on parameter configuration, this process may also generate earnings for periods of absence.  It does not apply earnings limits such as 401(a)17, nor does it project earnings for future periods, which are both initiated by the function results that use earnings such as Final Average Earnings and Cash Balance/Employee Accounts.
